Muffins and Panties and Parents - Oh My!

So I just watched the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy and I must say...effing gorgeous! It was every bit as funny, touching, witty and addictive as ever.

Muffins - So Izzie hasn't started drinking or taking large amounts of highly sedating drugs, no, she's turned to muffins. LOTS o' muffins. Apparently its the only other thing that she's good at short of cutting LVAD wires and sleeping withe jerky doctors. It was kinda cute to see her less than perfect, but at the same time, a wee bit annoying. Peeps were wondering if she was planning on leaving the show this season after last season's finale, and I was wondering myself after how little screen times she had this episode, but, it looks like my mentor Doc. Bailey talked her into coming back. I mean, what better way to take care of those peeps taking up all those extra hospital beds? Snip snip Izzie.

Panties - I'm seriously starting to believe that this hospital has to be the least hygenic in the world, even in television land. Undies all up over the place. So it's obvious that now all the ladies (with the exception of Izzie Crocker) know that Meredith and McDreamy hooked up again. Mere's all back in her blissful horny daze and McDreamy's all happy to have his regular booty call back. Sadly, Addison found out thanks to Mer's drawers being in McDreamy's pocket. Can I just say that she put on a stellar performance tonight. I LOVE Addison. Yes, she was the original cheat (with a man that is so hot that please, like you wouldn't tap that too) but she's quirky, smart, funny and generally just cool. I give props for the writers showing her more vulnerable side again, as she took to the bottle like a street wine-o tonight to mourn the loss of the shamble she called her marriage. But she did give McDreamy a good old fashioned "fuck you farewell" by boning his uber hot ex best friend one more time for the road. Take that McScruffy. Other panty lines (hee) were that my wish for Callie and George to still be together came true, Callie YET AGAIN saved Mere's ass by telling all that the panties pinned to the bulletin board were hers. This made Georgie Porgie all jealous like and Callie got off on it (as all women do). In the end, the Chief found out that Callie was hobo-ing it in the hospital basement and made Callie move out (and into George's space meeeeow) and he had to face the fact that he had to find a new place to call home.

Parents - hee...funniest moment in the eppie, poor Cristina's first "Meet the Parents" moment, and it's executed with her in a fire red bustier straddling a barely stengthened Burke in his hospital bed. That has to go down in history as the worst way to meet who could be your future mother-in-law. Conversely, it could go down as the BEST way to ever greet your future father-in-law. Either way, Richard Roundtree guest starred as Burke Sr, and he was his usual lovable self even though he only had like two lines. They also nicely incorporated a parellel storyline about a kid that got a tree - yes, not a branch, not a root, a freakin' tree - stuck through his torsoe, and how his father felt all responsible for it. It wasn't the focus of hte show, but some very powerful messages in those few small scenes.

*As a side, Queer As Folk's (US) Peter Paige guest starred on this episode as a gay (like we didn't already know) brain cancer patient who's tumor caused him to be unable to control his impulses, especially in speech. He did a DYNAMITE job and had IMO the funniest moments this episode. It makes you really think about how much fun - and embarrassing - life would be if we could all just speak our minds when we wanted to...

All in all, a very cool start to the season, leaving lots of room for more mayhem, medicine, making love and mystery. I don't know why I feel the need to alliterate at the moment, but I did it. Side notes, ER and CSI also premiered tonight, ER was meh, kinda hte same old same old with some more soapy drama that not. CSI showed some cool behind the scenes Cirque de Soliel stuff and had a pretty interesting story line, but some very sad beginnings for Miss Willows. It's a two parter, and yes, I will be tuning in next week so I guess they got me. Hell, Eric Szmanda had me at "hello".

Well it was a long post, but I havent' been posting as much lately due to schedule. Will hope to keep up from now on. As for SYTYCD, I've been spreading the fever, my best friend is now an avid fan and is totally benjellin', and I now have my workmates (which consist of 8 guys) addicted to the show via the re-airing that MuchMusic started a few weeks back. IT'S A FEVA!!! Tour news, some sadness... Donyelle apparently hit her head a couple nights ago, right on Benji's..er...goods... and it resulted in her having to be hospitalized. It wasn't a long stay so I don't think its uber serious, but reports from last nights show say that she only danced hte first hour, so I guess it's more than just a little bump. Let's just all pray that she's gonna pull through, and that she'll be up and running back to her old self as soon as possible.

EDIT: Randomness. Watched Blade Trinity again today at work and I just need to take a minute to pay tribute to the sexiest Canadian alive. Please look and take it all in slowly, squee, and move on...

Today is the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy YAY!! So many things to ponder so little time. The sucky part is that I have to wait another like 9 hours for it, but patience is one of my virtues...really...

Go Mom, its yo birfday!!

Yeppers, its my mommy's bday today, what can I say, september is an exceptional month, after all Travis and Natalie were born in September too, so it can't be half bad!

September is also the month when alot of the cool shows come back from hiatus, which is grrrrreat!! Por hemple, GREY'S ANATOMY is back this Thursday, YAY!! I can't wait to see where things pick up. Also, the new CW network is launching today and it'll be interesting to see what new things they try to bring to the table (though 80% is regurgitated WB programming).

Other exciting stuff, Benjelle and Heidi will be on the The Megan Mullally Show tomorrow!!! It was actually taped like 3 weeks ago, but it'll still be post show benjelle when they look more relaxed and pretty. Speaking of the benjelle, for those of you that don't know, there are peeps out there who have been to the tour and have been gracious enough to share their pics and even video (oh yah) with the world, so if you don't mind being spoiled, or you're stuck in the frozen north like me and can't go to the show, check out some of the vids at Vixen's blog and/or pics and vids at Tayoose's blog . Very much worth the visit if you haven't frequented.

Go Me! It's my birthday!!!

Yeppers, It's my birthday today and I....have to work, which totally blows. But I did get a laptop and my daddy's taking me out to dinner so its not a complete loss I suppose. Not saying how old I am cuz I feel ancient as it is, but hey, here's to making it to another year of life, which not everyone is so lucky to do. The other coolio thing about this is that I was actually born on a wednesday so it truly is my birfday!

Feel free to send prezzies if you'd like cuz, I like prezzies. And nothing froofy, I'm a techno geek and a tomboy so, geeky toys need apply. Okay, that was the dream portion of my post.

Anyhow, no news really on the benjelle front other than according to spoilers on aftersytycd.blogspot.com and the fux forums, its two hours of jampacked fun. Benjelle do 3 dances together (TMB, VFW1 and Bway) and so far ppl said that it was amazing. So like I said, for you lucky ducks that get to go, take pics if you can or record stuff and make screen caps!! Like MAD!! Do it for my birfday!!!!

Possible Candid Benjelle?

So I got a chance to watch Ivan on Ellen via youtube (gawd I love that site), and I saw Ellen give him a vid cam for the tour, and he's supposed to send in a video journal of his touring experience every week. Now I could really care less about what he does on the tour (no offence Ivan, I love ya, but I'm all about the benjelle), but I'm hoping that perhaps in all that footage we might catch a wayward benjelle moment, when their all relaxed and unaware of the world. I'm REALLY hoping that maybe Ivan will post some stuff maybe on his MS page. That would rock my sox!

Anyhow, that's the only possible squeeworthy stuff out there for now, other than that Lost returns next week and I so excited!!!

Two birds, one weekend

So it was a fairly cool weekend in the world of me. I finally sat my @ss down and make myself get my druid to 60 baby oh yeah!! My eyes only bled a little, but it was worth it. K, that’s it for the uber geek portion of the post. Secondly, I finally got my LAPTOP!! YAYERS! Mobile geekdom! Access to nerd heaven 24/7 now b!tches! So that made me pretty happy. But it doesn’t take much.

In other unrelated news, Allegra is the allergy med from the DEVIL!! I took some this weekend to keep my sinuses from blowing through my face, and the damned thing gave me an allergic reaction similar to taking speed. I couldn’t sleep for like 10 hours! I was cleaning my bathroom at 3 am! It was horrible and I’m never going near that satanic concoction ever again!

Besides that, nothing new on the benjelle front, looks like they took advantage of their last weekend of freedom. Tour starts next week, so those lucky ducks out there need only wait a while before they get to see our fave couple again, and remember, POST PICS as soon as you can from the tour for us lowly peeps who don’t get to join the “tour goers” club.

Somebody Save Me

Alright, almost time for a fresh new season of Smallville. This could be very exciting, though I think this may be the last season of my beloved show. They really don’t have anywhere else to go with the storyline as is.

But on with the story, as they left it in the season finale, poor dear Clark was foolish in letting his softer side get the better of him in not wanting to destroy Zex, or Lod (not easy to combine two 3 letter names). Anyhow, he was all like “fight it Lex” and Lex was all “Hello? I’m evil, and now I have superpowers and your ex-girlfriend, as if I’m fighting this”. Then Zod took over Lex’s body and sent Clark on his Milky Way in the two dimensional prison that he’d been imprisoned in for god knows how long.

All of this happening of course after Zod’s drone, played by the impeccable James Marsters, wreaked havoc on the world as we know it by destroying all of our precious “technology”. Now that may not seem huge, but I know I’d go apesh!t if anyone took away my internet. But I digress…Lana has decided that Zex is her man du jour, poor Mrs. Kent and Lois are on a plane headed for the the stratosphere without the hassle of having oxygen, and Chloe was taken by street people. But my absolute favorite part of that episode was this:





SQUEEE! I wanted this to happen all season. Hell, all 5 seasons. A kiss between Clark and Chloe, or Chlark, where both parties were: sober, not under any kind of possession, spell, meteor-rock influence, chemical reaction, or anything that can otherwise be conjured by Luthorcorp or any other meteor rock mutant. Okay fine, so Chloe thought it might be the end of the world, but the point is that she had the balls to go for it, and as we can see, Clark responded and quite well at that. I really hope this means a little Chlark action this upcoming season, even if its only for a few months. I love these two together, and I’m sick to death of seeing Lana whore her way back into Clark’s affections over and over again. But that’s a whole other post.

So all in all, can’t wait to see how Clark gets out of his 2D prison, saves the world, if he flies this season, if he and Chloe get a crack at love, or if he and Lois start heading down the eventual path. Lots of potential this season, lets just hope the new “CW” network doesn’t screw it up.
